What airport do I fly into?
You have a couple different choices. You can fly into Albany, NY which is 1.25hr drive from the house. This will typically require a layover but, is a quicker drive & no risk of traffic.
You can also fly in the LGA which is in Queens (NYC) and a 2.5hr drive to the house. This is a good option if you don’t want a layover, want to spend time in NYC first, or just like a roadtrip. The con would be risk of traffic & more difficult driving in the city.
Do I need 4-W drive in the snow?
If the forecast is showing a big snow storm, you should get a car with 4w drive for safety. The drive to the house has one semi-steep incline but, for the most part is level.
How far is it from NYC?
